Wanted: Hundred Men

John Wesley said, “Give me a hundred men who fear
nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I
will shake the world. I care not a straw whether they
be clergymen or laymen; and such alone will
overthrow the kingdom of Satan and build up the
Kingdom of God on earth.”

Let us enlarge the Kingdom with Boldness..

Why is it important for us to be willing to serve? What would the Church be like today if no one would have been willing to serve, or if only a handful of people would have been willing? Without the people of the church the Church does not go forward. Did you know that the Nominating Committee is looking for people to fill some key roles? Every position must be filled by the August business meeting, that is just over a month away. They have positions open for teachers, nursery, Kidzone, van drivers and others. We have a new committee this year called the Blessings committee, what this committee will do is make sure meals are lined up for church members when they are sick or have surgery. They will also find out if they need anything else done like the yard mowed, sheets changed or maybe the house cleaned. So we will need someone to head this committee up, but we will also need people to serve on it.
Jimmy and Jerry H. are heading up our visitation and outreach, this includes our Sunday night visitation, but we need some people who are willing to go and visit those who visit the church for the first time, this is a simple 3 minute visit. But it is a very important visit, when we as a church go and visit these people within 36 hours it lets them know that they are important and that we want them back.
It is important they we be willing to serve, Let the Nominating Committee know where you would like to serve. The committee consist of Linda Moore, Lori Duffield and Becky Wilson.
